Out of the envelope challenge w/ Ange

There's a new challenge up today over at Memorable Seasons forum
I had 3 of these really fun envelopes in my kit, but I just didn't want to use them the way they were intended to be used. (I guess I'm a bit of a rebel)

So I took this navy w/ white polka-dots envelope and cut down each side and across the bottom and then cut the closing flap apart from the back piece, laid it out under my photo and there you go. Pretty and fun!

Here's a closeup of it:

So my challenge to you is:
Take an embellishment and use it in a way that it was not originally intended to be used.

Here are the rules:
*Create a new layout or two cards for this challenge.
*Upload your creation to the gallery & link back this thread by the deadline of September 22.
Come join us for a bit of fun!

Quick and Easy Sunburst

Charity Here!
I'm challenging paper crafters to add a sunburst to layouts or cards. If you are a little rusty on sunburst mechanics I've got a quick tutorial that will help out.
Step 1:
Fold a 6x6 sheet of paper in half diagonally
Step 2:
Fold it in half again
Step 3:
Unfold the paper so the four triangles are visible.
Draw arrows pointing to the right side of the triangles.
Step 4:
Cut out the triangles on the fold lines.
Trace them onto scrap pieces of patterned paper.
You will need two of each triangle to make a half page sunburst.
Step 5:
When cutting out the right side of each of the triangles leave an extra 1/4 inch of paper. This flap will go under the piece next to it when you adhere them to your background.
Tip #1
A bit of trim or stitching will cover any awkward adges left by imperfect cutting.
Tip #2
It is VERY difficult to get the points to match. Placing a die-cut, journaling card, or photo over the center of the sunburst takes care of this potential problem.
