Theme Challenge: Pets

Today I am offering a themed challenge on the forum.
(Check that out here.)
Make a layout or two cards with a pet or animal theme.

Our ferret Chester loved to kiss and cuddle.
He didn't hold still for long, but was sweet while it lasted.
My favorite part about this page is how well the papers from my kit matched the sweater.

Progressive Challenge

Have you been playing along on our progressive challenge? Each week we get a new step in the challenge and everyone seems to be having lots of fun.

In the first week, Charity challenged us to add texture to a piece of patterned paper using a stencil and any other technique.

Next, Ange challenged us to mat at least one photo and  fussy cut something from patterned paper.

Then, Britt started us on embellishments, she challenges us to choose embellishments in sets of 3, plus alter an embellishment.

For the final step, I challenged everyone to add a sticker or label, adhere everything down, and  add some dots.

If you have't been playing along, you can still join us for the final step which is due next Tuesday. Otherwise, our next Progressive challenge will start Wednesday August 6.

Title Challenge

There's a new challenge up on the Memorable Seasons Forum today!
This time it's all about the title of the layout.
My daughter chose the title for this page and did very well.
This time I want you to let someone else title your layout.
Will you accept the challenge?

Title challenge w/ Ange

 Hello there!
I'm Ange, one of the current design team members here at Memorable Seasons.
I've got a title challenge for you today. My challenge is to use something, anything, to bring attention to your title. Really make it stand out, so that even if you have other words or sayings on the page, everyone knows that is your title.
Here's my example:

These alphas for my title are covered in gold glitter and I've used arrows to really bring the eye to my title. Here's a closeup up for you:

And another closeup of some of the other details:

For this layout I used products from Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets line. You can find it in the store here.
Jump over to the forum and join us for all of these fun challenges. Upload them to the gallery and let us see what you come up with!
Have a scrappy day!

Today's challenge is all about Photo Embossing.
It's technique that distresses a photo in a unique way.

Step 1:
Emboss photo using a folder or other system.

Step 2:
Sand raised design around photo subject.

Step 3:
Dab pigment ink onto sanded areas, wipe off excess.

Here is the finished product.
